Why buy an organic candle? Is what you breathe related to what you burn?

Most regular candles on the market are made from a substance called paraffin wax, a refined product of crude oil which emits hazardous toxins such as toluene, benzene, formaldehyde and soot when burned. These are not good things for our bodies to breathe in, nor are they good for our environment and air quality. Fortunately, a new type of wax was invented circa 1995 which is made from renewable soy bean oil. This type of wax does not give off harmful chemicals when burned. However, most soy waxes are made from soybeans not grown in compliance with organic standards and are most likely genetically engineered. Third Eye Arts is a unique line of spiritual jewelry.

All delicately beautiful pieces are created not just with positive intention, but are also infused with reiki healing energy. Pennsylvania natives Julia DeChristoforo and Terence Newkumet learned to make glass beads in their home in California eight years ago and in 2002 Third Eye Arts was born in Philadelphia. Mostly earrings, the pieces are made of small colored beads all infused with reiki intention.
